Welcome to the Culture and Social Psychology Research Lab at UNB!
Our lab is located at the beautiful campus of the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, Canada. The lab is directed by Dr. W. Q. Elaine Perunovic. Research in the lab is generally within the area of social and cultural psychology, and covers a variety of topics including self-concept and identity, goal motivation, subjective well-being, contextualized personality, interpersonal relationships, bilingualism and multiculturalism, and cultural adaptation.
Territorial acknowledgement: We acknowledge that much of our work takes place on the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik and Mi’kmaq Peoples. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Wolastoqiyik and Mi’kmaq Peoples first signed with the British crown in 1725. The treaties did not deal with surrender of lands and resources but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
